Again! Iran hits second cyberattack in a week for intelligence spying

Mohammad Javad Azari-Jahromi Iran's slotxo Minister of Information and Communication Technology tweeted: “It was a cyber attack on the Iranian government's electronic systems and was intercepted by the Djafa Shield security system. for the purpose of obtaining government information.”



The news of the attack was the second time it had happened in a week. On Wednesday, Minister Jahromi announced a massive cyber attack that targeted Iran's electronic infrastructure and was thwarted. A local news agency reported on Tuesday that millions of customer accounts had been hacked.

The Aljazeera news agency added: Iran has disconnected much of its infrastructure from the Internet.

APT27 is a Chinese hacking group that supports government spying and financial crimes backed by the Chinese government.

In June, Presstv reported to Minister Jahromi that Iran had been hit by an unsuccessful US cyber attack on Iran's missile control system. Many news outlets have speculated that it was retaliation for Iran shooting down a drone and attacking a US oil tanker.
